The Exorcist: Believer” is an upcoming scary movie directed by David Gordon Green. It’s the sixth movie in The Exorcist series and continues the story from the first film, “The Exorcist” (1973).

In this new movie, Ellen Burstyn returns to her role as Chris MacNeil. She’s joined by other actors like Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz, Lidya Jewett, and Olivia Marcum, who’s making her debut in films.

Originally, they were planning to start the series over (a reboot) in August 2020. But in December 2020, they decided to make it a direct sequel to the original film. Jason Blum is producing it through his company Blumhouse Productions, along with David C. and James G. Robinson through their Morgan Creek Entertainment company. They’re also working with the executive producers, of Green and McBride’s Rough House Pictures.

Universal Pictures joined forces with Peacock in June 2021 to get the rights to distribute the movie. They filmed it between November 2022 and March 2023.
