The Movie Plot:

Alice and Jack Chambers are a married couple living in Victory, California, a picturesque desert company town in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The men work at Victory Headquarters in the desert, while their wives are kept in the dark about their husbands’ duties, enjoying a life of leisure at home. Alice, the protagonist, spends her time with other wives, including her best friend Bunny. However, a resident named Margaret is an outcast due to a past mental breakdown and her belief that Victory took her son as punishment.

At a party hosted by Victory’s enigmatic founder, Frank, Alice witnesses a disturbing incident involving Margaret’s husband. Following this, she and Jack have a secret encounter in Frank’s bedroom, not realizing that Frank is watching them. Alice’s life takes a strange turn when she stumbles upon Victory Headquarters in the desert, leading to surreal hallucinations.
